Barely a day after the slumdog child stars' grand homecoming after the Oscars, shocking images have emerged showing the child actor - Azharuddin - who played the younger Salim in the film, crying and cowering in his home in Mumbai.
Azharuddin's father slapped him for refusing to leave the shack and pose for the media. As seen in one of the pictures, ten-year-old Azharuddin has his eyes full of tears and in another, he is seen clutching his ears and sobbings after being hit by his father.
